Job Description:
Connect Energy partners with a Trading and Commodities company in the petrochemical industry to look for a Risk Analyst /Consultant to join their team in Singapore. Office is located right in the heart of CBD.

**Responsibilities**
- The Risk Analyst will develop risk models involving market, credit and operational risk, assure controls are operating effectively and provide research and analytical support.
- Design and implementing an overall risk management process for the organization, which includes an analysis of the financial impact on the company when risks occur
- Performing a risk evaluation to evaluate company's previous handling risks, and comparing potential risks with criteria set out by company such as costs and legal requirements
- Risk reporting to the Risk Committee (RC) of breaches and exceptions
- Conducting policy and compliance audits, which will include liaising with internal and external auditors
- Producing and maintaining records of daily reports, namely MTM P&L, position limits, value at risk (VaR)
- Conduct new client KYC & onboarding including credit risk assessment, profile & grading
- Regular evaluation of counterparties credit profile and recommendation to RC for adjustments
- Together with the Finance team, monitor working capital utilization
- Reviewing any new major contracts or internal business proposals
- Building risk awareness amongst staff by providing support and training withing the company
- Assist in integration of CTRM system with back office accounting systems like SAP etc
- Identify economic and financial trends that may present a risk to the company

**Requirements**:

- Degree Holder
- 3 -5 years relevant experience
- Commercial awareness, good numerical skills, planning and organizational.
- Ability to understand broader business issues
- Excellent in EXCEL spreadsheet or equivalent software such as Access or Visio. Able to write macros will be an advantage
- Experience in using CTRM (Commodity Trade & Risk Management) or equivalent. E.g Allegro, Triple Point, Aspect, Contingo, FIS, SAP, OpenLink etc
- Basic knowledge of programming languages such as SQL and/or Python
