A Research Fellow position is available in the Centre for OptoElectronics and Biophotonics, School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
**Job Description**:
The research fellow will work on a project to conduct the research and coordination on integrated semiconductor platforms for ultrafast electrical tuning of nano antennas at near/mid-infrared frequencies. The roles of this position include:
- Design and fabricate single-mode quantum cascade lasers for mid-infrared spectroscopy- Design of signal processing models- Characterization of semiconductor materials- Conduct the defect testing of the semiconductor materials- Collect and analyze the experimental data- Cooperate with the team members to build up the platform of signal processing for sensing- Work with the team members and help to prepare reports related to the project- Coordinate the project and the teams consisted of graduate student and research associate
Job Requirements:
- PhD in Science, Engineering, Physics or other related background- More than 5-year working experience in related area- A desire to work in a fast paced, collaborative environment- Self-motivated and good tasks initiative- Good in both English and Chinese and able to pronounce accurately- Experience in MBE equipment maintenance and operation- Experience of using FTIR, XRD, SEM, Magnetic transport, Photoluminescence Spectroscopy, EPD- Experience of the photonics device fabrication in clean room- Theoretical and experimental experience in the area of quantum cascade lasers- Experimental experience in the Mid-IR spectroscopy
