About
Bytedance is committed to protecting the privacy of their users. Our Global Privacy Operations team plays an integral role in ensuring that Bytedance is a safe and trustworthy place for our community. We are committed to high standards in addressing user requests and privacy queries while taking into account complex operational requirements for a global company.

We work daily to support users with privacy-related inquiries globally by accommodating their requests, guiding them to execute their privacy rights via in-app settings and controls, troubleshooting issues, and striving to provide them with an excellent user experience.

About the team

**Responsibilities**:

- Work on Bytedance's Global Privacy Operations handling privacy-related queries from our users based in the APAC region;
- Partner with Bytedance’s Office of the Data Protection Officer and Legal Team to resolve user queries related to privacy;
- Effectively identify and resolve problems and issues related to user escalated privacy concerns;
- Participate in and/or lead projects to improve processes, procedures, and tooling that will allow the team to scale rapidly and sustainably;
- Work cross-functionally across the organization to solve problems

Minimum Qualifications
- Deep understanding of data protection laws in the APAC region;
- A data privacy background with 3 years minimum experience in privacy support, a DPO role, privacy consulting role, or a similar operations setting;
- Customer support experience in a fast-paced and specialized environment with a keen eye for detail;
- Posses an ability to assess risk and impact from a privacy and data protection perspective;
- Demonstrated ability to enable the growth of an operation or process-heavy team;
- Able to work in a very fast-paced environment;
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and policies at scale; and communicate emerging risks to management and cross functional partners

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in an online moderation or trust and safety environment;
- Privacy Certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPP/A, CIPM;
- Great written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills;
