**Specialist IS Engineer - Endpoint Protection**

**What you will do**
As an Endpoint Security Specialist, you will be a technical endpoint security generalist for a very diverse endpoint solution. You will be a key part of a team that is responsible for incident management, change execution, and the maintenance and support of endpoint security technologies in a rapidly changing security sector.

This role will have the responsibility of ensuring endpoint security solutions and policies are on track to meet and respond to threats inside of the company's environment. You will ensure that all technologies are operationally ready and that the endpoint security and SOC teams are enabled to execute on capabilities as needed to resolve operational issues or business requirements.

This position will be responsible for delivering world-class security systems and tools management related to the Endpoint Security space. The role will work with other engineers and business units to help spec, build, administer, configure, and maintain critical preventive and detective security infrastructure related to Amgen’s endpoints in Business and Operational technology environments. - Management and implementation of technologies and processes relating to assigned Global Information Protection capability including issue identification and resolution, integration with other tools, documentation, gap assessment, gap resolution and continuous improvement of the capability
- Keep up-to-date, make recommendations, and lead or participate in the implementation and continuous improvement of technologies and services in assigned information security domains
- Work with and provide guidance to Security Operations and other Global Information Protection team activities on security strategies, processes, response and technologies
- Support Incident Response on security incidents including contributing to mock security incident exercises
- Develop or participate in the development of business cases and presentations on information security technologies of interest to Amgen
- Perform security design consulting in support of projects including participation to security architecture reviews as necessary
- Participate in projects or initiatives where an IS Security Engineer is needed with a focus on ensuring inclusion of information security requirements
- Provide mentorship and training on areas of expertise to Global Information Protection and Amgen teams

**What we expect of you**

- Bachelor or Master’s degree in information systems, Computer Science or equivalent and 5 years of experience in a related field
- Understanding of cloud environment (AWS, O365, Box, Salesforce, etc)
- Linux/Windows OS Knowledge
- Experience with Endpoint Technologies for a global enterprise (SEP, CrowdStrike, Bit9)
- Competent understanding on how security technologies and data flows (on-prem / cloud) integrate
- Light experience with scripting (PowerShell, Python, etc)
- Moderate experience reading and writing documentation for Infrastructure Security implementations
- Basic experience with ITIL processes such as Incident/Problem/Configuration/Change management
