**Roles & Responsibilities**
Reporting to the General Manager, the Crewing Manager will be responsible for reviewing the seafarer's planning, manpower requirements and providing coaching to the crewing team to oversee the seafarer deployment procedures.
**Job Accountabilities**
- Ensure the seafarer’s planning and procedures are in compliance with vessel related statutory, company and client’s requirements
- Support the General Manager in preparation of vessel’s budgets by analyzing crewing budget and expenditure reports
- Maintain accurate information in Crewing software, ensure the skill alignment of seafarers as per vessel’s needs
- Manage crewing operation within approved budget, monitor the retention and effective rotation of seafarers
- Review wage scales, monthly budget compliance and document rationale for deviations from annual budget estimates
- Provide periodical performance feedback, set clear expectations and review performance of the team
- Deal with underperformance effectively while planning promotions and beneficial attrition to improve team performance
- Brief seafarers on vessel specific and policy matters prior joining the vessel
- Oversee the handling of grievance investigations and disciplinary matters to ensure alignment and organizational guidelines
- Manage Crewing issues arising from clients and seafarers, ensure the issues are resolved timely while providing support during crisis management on vessels
- Communicate with both internal and external parties to deliver business results
- Communicate internally to forecast crew recruitment needs based on requirements
- Act as the focal point with seafarers and their families to provide extended support in seafarers’ wellness and engagement initiatives
- Timely reporting to occupational accidents, injuries and illness to P&I cell and Regulatory bodies
- Contribute as a high-performing team member and deliver performance aligned with the company’s business strategy and values
**Requirements**:
- Degree in Maritime Management or equivalent
- Ex-seafarer with at least 3 years’ Crewing experience
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Strong interpersonal skills, capable of interacting professionally and courteously at all levels with various stakeholders and ship staff
- Open minded and flexible in prioritization of tasks and willing to learn new tasks
