- Execute trades and identify trading strategies in APAC Equities, Futures and Options and Convertible Bond trading.
- You will collaborate with M&G investors, trading teams, investment teams and operations teams to generate and develop long-term trading strategies that are appropriate from a local market perspective and execute trades on a daily basis whilst maintaining order flow integrity.
- You will stay up-to-date on industry and market trends, economic data, company/sector news, trading algorithms, technologies, and regulatory issues to make informed trading decisions
- You will build and maintain strong internal and external relationships and act as a contact with external partners such as banks and brokerages.
- Work closely with portfolio managers to source liquidity, develop portfolio trading strategies and perform portfolio cash, risk and liquidity management.
- Exercise discipline and ensure consistency by identifying, navigating and mitigating operational and trading risks.

**The Successful Applicant**
- You have 1 - 3 years of relevant trading experience, ideally in Asian equities, at an Asset Manager, Hedge Fund, Family Office, Bank, Brokerage or similar financial services firm.
- You are passionate about financial markets.
- You possess strong interpersonal skills and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluent English speaker with strong communication skills. Other Asian languages is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of any programming language will be an added advantage i.e. Python and VBA
- You are outcome orientated and performance focused.
- You are able to multi-task effectively with strong attention to detail. Possesses quick and decisive thinking and the ability to perform in a dynamic environment
- You are a self-starter, collaborative and excel at developing working relationships.
- You have an interest in analytics, technology solutions, and data analysis.
- You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree from a recognised institution
