**Overview**

In this role you will work closely with the Business Development Team to maximise profitability by predicting and monitoring sales trends, and accurately controlling stock levels. This involves overseeing the creation of store displays, removing damaged or freshness-dated products, tidying store shelves, and providing optimum display of products. Apart from that, you will also have to create the right image to entice customers to buy products; by answering questions, responding to special requests, and describing product features. Retail merchandisers play a key role within the company as profitability can be affected by how successfully they undertake their work.

**Responsibilities include**
- Detailed and sales-oriented team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Liaise daily with retail customers, department manager, supervisor, staff and salesperson on any out-of-stock situation, manage inventory, stock rotation FIFO (First In First Out) and upkeep merchandising display in retailer stores.
- Able to communicate and liaise well with the sales team, retail admin, supermarket department managers, supervisors and staff to address and solve any issues that may arise on a daily basis.
- Travel to various locations within Singapore to retail shops to provide merchandising support and services when needed.
- Expected to conduct in store sampling from time to time to promote products.
- Ensures stores constantly have optimum amount of stock., to check that stocks are well rotated and displayed attractively on shelves during each store visit, to check for expiry dates of products.
- Ensure maximum product distribution & high branding visibility in retail shops.
- To participate in sales events and to communicate and liaise with stores on promotional activities.
- Attend to feedback & complaints.

**Minimum qualifications**
- BA/BSc degree from a reputable university (preferably in Business, Retail, Marketing, or related discipline)
- Preferably some experience in the F&B or FMCG industry
- Excellent command of English in written and spoken

**Job requirements**
- Willing to travel islandwide
- Comfortable with negotiations
- Excellent analytical thinking, presentation and problem-solving skills
- Sound marketing skills and an advanced understanding of retail trends
- Ability to work within deadlines and well-organised in handling multiple on-going projects
- Display strong initiative and able to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Min 1 year of similar working experience.
