**JOB GOAL**: To help the faculty in their responsibility to fulfill the ICS mission.

**PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Assist the teacher to identify the needs of students.
- Assist the teacher to plan, prepare, and execute appropriate lessons, utilizing appropriate resource materials and activities.
- Assist the teacher to maintain student records as required by the school.
- Help the teacher to assess students and provide the teacher with information on the student’s progress.
- Assist the teacher to provide a variety of instructional aides, methods, and materials that will provide for creative teaching to reach the whole child as stated in the ICS mission statement.
- Supervise extracurricular activities, organizations, and outings as assigned.
- When the teacher is unable to be present at school and a substitute teacher is called, the teacher aide will take the lead for instructional activities, with the substitute teacher taking the role of teacher assistant.
- Attend and participate in devotions, teachers’ meetings, evening programs as requested by the assigned principal
- Do supervisory duty as assigned (before school, break, lunch, after school).
- Facilitate the maintenance of the classroom in a clean and educationally stimulating environment.
- Submit all reports to the teacher that may be requested.
- Demonstrate the character qualities of enthusiasm, courtesy, flexibility, integrity, kindness, self-control, perseverance, and punctuality.
- Meet everyday stress with emotional stability, objectivity, and optimism.
- Develop and maintain rapport with students, parents, and staff by treating others with friendliness, dignity, and consideration.
- Maintain a personal appearance that is a role model of cleanliness, modesty, good taste, and in agreement with school policy.
