Responsibilities and Tasks:

- Analysis of tool performance and opportunities for improvement.
- Analysis of scheduled maintenance performance and opportunities for improvement..
- Identify training opportunities to develop team knowledge.
- Set up process parameters for a variety of semiconductor equipment.
- Evaluation, promotion and planning of new equipment / materials.
- Abnormal analysis and improvement.

Maximizes yield by working on tools, the process, or wafer fabrication recipes. Troubleshoots wafer fabrication problems and performs root cause analysis. Works with other process areas to understand and control process deviations. Long-term investigation of defect issues may require extensive work with shift engineering and other functional areas. Evaluates products to ensure they meet the required design and performance specifications. Conducts research to assess process adjustment requirements and recommends process improvements or equipment changes needed to efficiently manufacture new product or part types.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective priority-setting.
- The ability to act as leader and effectively drive small teams as TPM team lead.
- Self-motivated with strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor process flows.
- Knowledge and experience with statistical process control (SPC).
- Understanding of problem-solving methodologies such as Kepner-Tregoe and Six Sigma.
- Must be willing/able to work weekends or evenings as needed.

**Education/Experience Requirements**:

- Minimum B.S. degree in engineering(Preferred but not required)
- Required: 2+ years of work experience as Equipment Maintenance or Equipment Engineer in semiconductor industry **or **5+ years working in similar equipment type roles in RTP
- Preferred: Prior experience working on Vantage and Centura toolsets
