**What the role is**
- The Municipal Services Office (MSO) was set up in Oct 2014 to improve the coordination, delivery and quality of municipal services by Government and Town Councils. These services include the upkeep and improvement of common areas in public and private estates, and the upgrading or provision of facilities and infrastructure. You will be a member of the Planning Team which works on issues and helps Government continue to deliver high-quality and timely municipal services despite increasingly binding resource constraints by: - Drawing insights from service delivery trends in frontrunner cities and/or adjacent industries;
- Identifying emerging, medium and long term topics of interest or concerns;
- Conducting research and studies to inform strategic decision making; and - Driving operations-technology (Ops-tech), OD and workforce capabilities for MSO and Government agencies, and other initiatives to raise sectoral productivity.

**What you will be working on**
- You will be working on: - Providing strategic and corporate planning support for MSO;
- Keeping abreast of long-term strategies relevant to Municipal Sector, and developing plans to achieve them;
- Identifying opportunities and challenges in uplifting the Municipal Sector’s service delivery and productivity;
- Conducting research studies on emerging and longer term municipal issues;
- Engaging stakeholders (e.g. Senior management, various divisions, public agencies, citizens) to maintain oversight on municipal issues, and drive transformation in the Municipal sector

Adept at translating these needs into clear, concrete deliverables for team members and partner agencies. - Passionate about exploring new ideas and developing solutions, and champion their adoption to stakeholders - Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, especially in influencing across organisational boundaries. - Experience in policy, planning, strategy development and engagement.
