Assistant/planning Engineer

Singapore Keppel Offshore & Marine Full time

Maintain current Yard Layouts & carry out weekly updates
- Prepare dock utilization and berthing space month by month forecast plans for all KFELS Yards
- Allocation of Blocks, Strips and Hull in Dock
- Quayside Berthing & Mooring Plans for Rigs, Vessels, Pontoons and Barges
- Coordinate with Managers on Dry Dock / Can-Do Barge usage plans
- Lead area planning meeting (Assembly Areas Block Allocation)
- Liaise with Production PEs and Yard Managers on Sections’ overall yard area usage
- Coordinate with Planning Engineers on space or resources requirements for each project.
- Scheduling of Heavy Lifts & Booking of Floating Cranes
- Feasibility Checks for various Lifting studies
- Movement studies & Block Movement by Transporter
- Coordinate drafting support for Marketing enquiry projects
- Allocate works and Control draftsmen resources
- Coach draftsman on Lifting Concept, Transporting Concept and Yard Planning drafting works
- Coach Junior Planners / Propose improvements to planning process and method through innovative ideas. (Senior Planning Engineer ‘s additional role)

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Degree / Diploma in any Engineering Disciplines
- At least 2 years of working experience in marine/ offshore industry
- Possess knowledge of oil rig / shipbuilding technology / offshore structure construction
- Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
- Possess good leadership, planning, analyzing and decision-making skills
- Able to work as a team
- Able to analyze and provide holistic solutions to complex issues
