- Excellent communication skills, may be involved in webinars, provide trainings and conduct presentations

**Job Description**:

- Design and carry out laboratory experiments. Review the results and seek answers to problems encountered through collection of data and investigation. Decide how to proceed with next experiment/stage of project. Assist less experienced staff through the same process.
- Provide a technical support service to sales and marketing as and when required e.g. answering customer technical enquiries, recommending products, training sessions, participating in customer technical visits & training.
- Work directly with customers to assess or develop formulations.
- Keep research, sales and marketing teams up to date with developments on projects.
- Frequently responsible for selecting most viable development routes in projects that can either be complex or straightforward. Decisions would be made in conjunction with the line manager.
- Independently responsible for frequently planning and running multiple projects and carrying out experiments of varying complexity to deliver new data and formulations on time to the business. Typically, projects can range from a couple of days to six months.
- Expected to use a creative and viable approach to support new product launches and existing product ranges, including development of new test methodologies, or developing new and novel finished formulations for promotional means.

**Requirements**:

- Min Degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science or related field
- 4-7 years of experience in sun and/or hair formulation is preferred. Personal care formulation experience would be beneficial.
- Experience in leading new product development projects would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of claims testing methodologies is a plus.
- Ability to travel for customer visits in the region (approximately once every quarter)
- Ability to progress multiple projects simultaneously to successful conclusions under own initiative.
- Creative and tenacious with good planning and problem solving skills
- Good written communication skills, numerate, attention to detail.
- Ability to interact constructively within department and with other departments
- Adaptable around changing project requirements and priorities.
- Excellent communication skills and comfortable fronting customers.
- Excellent experimentalist with laboratory experience preferably in related area. Project management skills
