**MS SQL/Oracle Database Administrator (Junior)**

Job Title: MS SQL/Oracle Database Administrator (Junior)

Work Location: Downtown Core, Singapore

**About the Job**

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Manage Microsoft SQL & Oracle server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
- Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
- Perform vulnerability/risk assessment and patching of MS SQL/Oracle security/functional patches onto Production and Non Production environment.
- Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document charges.
- Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
- Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems, including weekends & public holidays.
- Perform scheduled maintenance (DB patching/Upgrades) and support release deployment activities after hours.
- Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship.
- Any other ancillary tasks or works as and when requested and assigned by the Company.

**Job Requirements**:

- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- At least 1 year of MS SQL & Oracle database administration experience.
- Operational and Customer service focus.
- Ability to manage and prioritize own workload. Have good planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Experience with backups, restoring and recovery models.
- Knowledge in High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL & Oracle servers.
- Experienced in performing vulnerability assessment & MS SQL/Oracle patching.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Positive attitude, a team player to support the team.
- Proven ability to:

- Organize and plan work independently
- Work in a rapidly changing environment
- Multitask and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams.
- Required to undergo Casino Regulatory Authority (CRA) checks.
