**Roles & Responsibilities**

**Role Purpose**

At Campari, the Legal Team is committed to pragmatically create agile solutions enabling building iconic brands and delivering superior financial returns.

The Managing Counsel Asia will work with the Regional General Counsel & Public Affairs APAC to deliver on this mission, acting as a consultant in understanding and evaluating the legal implications of business decisions, providing legal advice and services essential to the management of planned and reactive requirements, and to the development of our markets.

This includes advising on, drafting and/or reviewing commercial contracts, marketing and product packaging reviews, management of company secretariat and corporate regulatory requirements and contributing to the regulatory and compliance program requirements in collaboration with the broader Legal team and consistently with Company’s global guidelines, regional business priorities and the Campari values.

Campari APAC is a fast paced business, [where Camparistas embrace the challenge and drive the change]. It is envisaged that the scope of this role will grow with our business however initially the Managing Counsel Asia will be the responsible legal partner for:

- all the markets managed in partnership with local distributors across Asia; (SG, MY, INDO, VN, TH,
- markets directly managed requiring a specific focus because of our strong growth ambitions, like India;
- the Travel Retail business in all Asian markets;
- all brand related and commercial operations in all Asian markets.

Additionally, the role will work with the Regional General Counsel & Public Affairs APAC on any key strategic projects and/or legal matters relating to the APAC business, as well as contribute to the development of the APAC legal function.

**Core Accountabilities**:

- Manage distributor markets and partner the Asia commercial functions and GSTR teams by providing legal advice on all legal andregulatory requirements, including:

- negotiating and drafting contracts;
- sales & marketing compliance advice including compliance with any Campari Group or industry codes, regulations, labelling laws, liquor licensing and other general compliance requirements;
- developing and/or maintaining, implementing and presenting legal compliance programmes specific to the regional requirements as well as implementing any corporate led compliance initiatives;
- assist with dispute resolution matters, complaint management and regulatory responses, as required;
- management of regional board meetings, corporate filing obligations, board administration and filings in compliance with applicable local laws and the Company’s Corporate Governance Rules; and
- working with the Regional General Counsel & Public Affairs APAC with project work as required.

**Experience Required**
- Minimum 3-5 years post qualification experience, ideally working with FMCG brands in either an in-house role or law firm;
- Ability to work autonomously, exercise initiative and to deal with ambiguity;
- Contract drafting and negotiating skills;
- Appetite to learn;
- Proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment and cross functionally, contributing to the enthusiasm and positive interactions with colleagues;
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Ability to meet deadlines by managing a range of priorities simultaneously;
- Strong organisational skills;
- Bi-lingual skills viewed favourably.

**Education / Professional Qualifications**
- Law degree & Current Practicing Certificate (from a common law jurisdiction)
