Commodities Operations Executive

Singapore AASTAR TRADING PTE. LTD. Full time

Responsibilities:

- Responsible for a full spectrum of shipping operations and documentation in commodities trading;
- Handle shipment coordination with suppliers, buyers, ship-brokers, ship owners/agents, surveyors, insurance companies, etc., to ensure smooth loading and delivery;
- Handle full set of shipping documents including liaison with banks on letters of credit negotiations and collection documentation;
- Ensure coverage of marine cargo insurances & charterer’s liabilities for all shipments.
- Follow up on shipping claims and demurrages.
- Maintaining working relationships with the internal / external shipping departments of shippers, receivers and shipbrokers
- Any other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time

**Requirements**:

- Diploma holder / Degree holder (Fresh graduate will be considered)
- Minimum 1 - 3 years of relevant working experience, preferably from a commodity trading environment or bills department in a bank
- Familiar with dry bulk shipping, international trade and shipping operations
- Meticulous and independent in work
- Diligent and able to perform under pressure in a fast-paced working environment
- Proactive mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to travel overseas at short notice
- Proficiency in English (other languages would be an added advantage)
