Our client is a well-established financial institution with a strong presence in Singapore and the APAC region. Their operational risk division is looking for an experienced technology risk expert to join them.

The group has a vacancy for a Vice President in the Singapore office; the role is a permanent position.

Office Location: CBD
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (4 days at the office, 1 day from home)

About this role

The role sits within the Operational Risk Management (ORM) and will be reporting to the Head of ORM and to the regional CRO. As part of the 1.5 to 2nd line of defence, ORM is an independent risk management function responsible for developing, maintaining, and implementing the IT or operational risk framework, IT risk & control programs and new business / product governance.

**Some of the key responsibilities will include**:

- Develop and implement operational risk policies; monitor the first line of defence’s compliance to the ORM standards
- Provide operational risk advisory and oversight with a focus on but not limited to Information Technology Risk, Information Security Risk, Cyber Security Risk
- Key person to support a consistent risk management governance model including the Pan Asia Risk Management Committee, Board Risk Committee, and risk management policies and procedures across risk management disciplines.
- Conduct independent assessment on operational risk through review on incident, control issues, risk & control self-assessment and key risk indicators.
- Analyse the firm-wide risk themes and trends, and provide recommendation and challenge.
- Strengthen the firm-wide risk culture through training programme and best practices sharing.
- Support risk & control programs including business continuity framework, outsourcing or third party IT risk management, end user computing and segregation of duties

**To be eligible for this role you will require**:

- Minimum 7 years of working experience and has covered technology risk, information security and data protection, preferably from banking industry.
- He or she is responsible for ensuring robust framework, processes and control procedures are implemented and maintained in accordance to Group, local regulatory requirements and industry best practices
- Familiar or experience with MAS TRM /HKMA TM-G-1.
- Familiar or experience with MAS BCM /HKMA TM-G-2.
- Familiar or experience with MAS Risk Mgt & Operational Resilience in Remote Environment /HKMA TM-OR-2.
- Familiar or experience with HKMA C-RAF
- Familiar or experience with ISO27001.
- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) or CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor ) or equivalent certification
- Familiar or experience with Singapore PDPA /Hong Kong PDPO.
- CIPP/A (Certified Information Privacy Professional /Asia)
- Willing to undertake Professional Certification Programs if necessary
