**The Opportunity**

Primarily responsible for negotiating and placing insurance/reinsurance contracts with a carrier for a client, generally resulting in either a fee or commissions to Aon. Responsibilities may include relationship management with both the clients and carriers, and for developing new business to grow revenue across all Aon services

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in developing placement strategies in conjunction with senior brokers within the team
- Assist in the broking, negotiation and placement of risks to the insurance market
- Initiate technical reviews of renewal or new placement plans including negotiations with underwriters
- Actively engage with markets on a day to day basis and maintain key market relationships
- Participate in new business development initiatives and prospect presentations
- As required, run a placement account independently and be accountable for budget performance on the account
- Draft broking slip, insurance contracts, endorsements and other relevant broking documents
- Prepare underwriting submissions for broking risks to the underwriters
- Assist the team in promoting best practices, untilising standardised templates for various documents, archiving of broking
files, supporting the peer review process, highlighting and contributing to the resolution of compliance issues
- Responsibility to ensure that all broking / placement activity is in compliance with MAS regulations and Aon Company Policy and Guidelines.
**Requirements**:

- Goal-oriented and collaborative amongst the team ensuring open communication; focus on common purpose and active personal participation.
- Excellent communication skills; oral/written English proficiency
- Competent in Word, Excel
- Preferably 3 to 5 years of Insurance and/or Reinsurance market experience
