Airbnb is a community built on trust, and the Trust Operations Team is looking for a Law Enforcement Operations Associate who is committed to protecting user data while ensuring our community is kept safe and remains a trustworthy environment.

The Law Enforcement Operations (LE Ops) Team is responsible for Airbnb’s engagement with law enforcement globally, keeping your personal data safe, identifying threats to the community and taking appropriate action. Our work takes a unique blend of vigilance, ingenuity, adaptability, and empathy.

**Responsibilities**
- Respond to legal requests from law enforcement and government authorities in APAC and assist with requests in the other regions
- Investigate, track, analyze and accurately respond to a variety of legal requests for user data working directly with law enforcement authorities, government agencies and court officials
- Review and assess requests related to critical safety incidents, emergency and emergency-in-progress situations that require timely and accurate response and engagement with Law Enforcement in order to keep our community safe.
- Work with cross-functional teams on law enforcement engagement related to severe safety incidents
- Ability to articulate written summaries of cases that require legal and stakeholder escalation.
- Work closely with Legal teams on response to law enforcement authorities, regulators and legislators requests for user data
- Work with cross-functional teams to drive development and execution of policies relating to keeping the community safe and engaging with Law Enforcement.
- Comprehensively document investigation results and decisions.
- Maintain high levels of confidentiality and accuracy while performing investigations.
- Demonstrate excellent judgement and provide recommendations on the best course of action for responding to requests
- Work with CS, Safety and Trust teams to develop and refer relevant criminal matters to law enforcement authorities
- Sharing best practices with your LE Ops colleagues

**Requirements**:

- 2 to 4+ years of relevant experience in operations, investigative or analytical roles
- Knowledge and experience related to data protection legislation and online investigations
- Experience working with policing agencies and regulatory authorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong data investigation skills and knowledge and experience of tools such as SQL and Salesforce
- Ability to manage and prioritise large request volumes
- A self starter who enjoys working in an ever changing environment
- Confidence engaging with law enforcement at all levels in a tactful and considerate manner, ensuring a positive stakeholder experience.
- Flexibility and willingness to work off hours, including weekends and occasionally holidays, in order to support emergency matters and interact with company employees based globally
