[What the role is]
The Digital Transformation Office (DXO) at Nanyang Polytechnic
- Coordinate and orchestrate transformation initiatives and projects with portfolio management.
- Champion the democratization of data and drive polytechnic-wide analytics and AI projects.
- Identify and leverage new technologies/tools in use cases at strategic and operational levels.
- Develop and implement roadmap and programmes for baseline digital/data/AI competencies.
You will be a core member of DXO’s management team to drive the above-mentioned initiatives and organisational goals.
[What you will be working on]
- Drive and/or facilitate the planning, execution, associated change management and delivery of transformation projects at the NYP-level or sectoral level.
- Collaborate with schools and departments to identify innovation opportunities and ensure alignment of transformation initiatives with strategic goals.
- Design and implement data architecture and data management strategies to support democratization of data and the responsible use of AI in NYP.
- Collaborate with the IT team to integrate new technologies and data sources into the existing data architecture.
- Develop organization-specific policies, frameworks, processes, metrics, and indicators to manage, measure and assess progress.
- Manage project resources, timelines, and risks to ensure successful project completion.
- Communicate project status, issues, and risks to stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Develop and implement roadmap and programmes for baseline digital/data/AI competencies.
- Undertake other responsibilities as assigned to support organisational transformation efforts in NYP.
[What you will be working on]
- Relevant working experience in IT/technical development and project management, with minimum 4 years in related organisational/digital transformation work. Prior experience with change management, journey mapping and design thinking will be an added advantage.
- Strong facilitation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Hands-on and self-motivated personality.
- Ability to work independently and with strong team spirit to lead and collaborate.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and the ability to juggle multiple work demands.
- Understanding of and relevant experience in using data engineering, data architecture, data governance concepts, techniques, and tools.
- Good grasp of evolving technologies and industry trends, with applied knowledge and skills in advanced data analytics and artificial intelligence.
