Performs engineering tasks for the design of mechanical systems for data centre facilities
- If required, prepares mechanical engineering calculations and deliverables in support of mechanical system designs.
- Coordinates with disciplines in the preparation and development of the deliverables and ensuring those other disciplines’ inputs are incorporated.
- Provides specialized technical input to studies and all relevant technical documentation.
- Technical knowledge and understanding of all stages of Engineering Design and Construction for Mechanical systems from, Preliminary Design to Commissioning and Handover.
- Technical knowledge and understanding of project execution processes in a fast track environment.
- Extensive knowledge of local codes and regulations for design implementation.
- Extensive local construction knowledge.
- Construction input for design engineering suitability and control.
- Manpower and scheduling, estimating support.
- Bid evaluation and purchasing of major equipment and preparation of contract requisition to award.
- Responsible for mechanical installation performance, schedule, budget, safety and commissioning.
- Review documentations submitted by vendor and ensure that all comments are incorporated to meet the design intent of the system for the project.
- Release/approval key deliverables for procurement and construction purposes.
- Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
- Proven skills in all digital environments and common data environments.
- Proven successful experience in mechanical engineering within the construction management processes.
- Leading mechanical processes and teams.
- Knowledge of ASHRAE standards
- Knowledge of data centre typologies and commissioning requirements.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineer (or similar experience and qualification)
- At least 10 years working in mechanical engineering, minimum 5 years of Data Centre experience
- Professional registration preferred
- Experience of working with international companies
- LEED / BREEAM
- Experience dealing with multi-discipline design teams proficient in BIM360/ACC, Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk, Microsoft Suite (including Power BI).
