Lead kitchen operations and ensure smooth daily food preparation
- Plan menus, create recipes, and maintain food quality standards
- Supervise kitchen staff and allocate daily tasks
- Ensure proper food handling, hygiene, and safety procedures (SFA standards)
- Maintain inventory, place ingredient orders, and control food cost
- Train new kitchen staff to maintain consistent food quality and efficiency
- Inspect workstation cleanliness and kitchen equipment maintenance
- Coordinate closely with service team to ensure timely food delivery
- Handle customer requests, feedback, and special dietary orders
- Perform any other duties assigned by management
Job Requirements
- Proven working experience as a **Head Cook / Sous Chef / Senior Cook**
- Strong knowledge of Asian / Western / [specify cuisine] dishes and kitchen operations
- Familiar with **food hygiene regulations**and kitchen safety standards
- Ability to lead and train kitchen staff
- Good time-management and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude, responsible and disciplined
- **Food Hygiene Certification (WSQ Food Safety Certificate)**preferred (or willing to obtain)
- Basic English communication skills (for operations & safety instructions)
- Able to work weekends and public holidays
- Physically fit to stand for long periods & perform kitchen duties
