The Role:
The Asean Finance Manager, based in Singapore, is responsible for providing financial oversight for Cognex’s Asean region, which includes Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Thailand. This includes financial oversight for the company’s Asia Distribution Center based in Singapore. This position reports directly to the Finance Director for the KIA region (Korea, India, Asean) based in Cognex’s Seoul, Korea office, and works closely with the Asia Controller, who oversees the Asia Shared Service Center where the accounting and compliance for this region is performed.

Essential Functions:

- Provide financial oversight for Asia Distribution Center and Sales Entities in Asean region
- Provide accounting instructions to Asia Shared Service Center, including expense accruals for month-end accounting cutoff
- Review monthly financial results
- Ensure local statutory audits and filings are completed in a timely manner
- Provide expense details to assist in preparation of financial plans
- Provide customer-facing support when needed
- Monitor accounts receivable and call on past due accounts
- Assist with banking relationships and treasury activities

Minimum education and work experience required:

- BS Accounting or Finance-related
- 8+ years of experience in financial roles
- Experience in finance management role preferred

Experience in multinational, US-based corporations preferred
