**Job Scope: Landscaping Technician**:
**Overview**:
The Landscaping Technician is responsible for creating, maintaining, and enhancing outdoor spaces and landscapes. This role requires hands-on expertise in horticulture, hardscaping, and general landscaping practices to deliver aesthetically pleasing and functional outdoor environments for residential, commercial, and public properties.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Landscape Installation and Maintenance **Plant trees, shrubs, flowers, and other greenery based on landscape designs.
Lay sod, seed lawns, and maintain turf areas.
Install irrigation systems and ensure proper functioning.
- **Hardscaping and Construction **Build and maintain patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other hardscape features.
Operate tools and machinery such as mowers, trimmers, excavators, and backhoes.
Assist with drainage systems, grading, and erosion control.
- **Horticultural Care **Perform pruning, weeding, fertilizing, and pest management.
Monitor plant health and implement care plans as needed.
- **Equipment Operation and Maintenance **Safely operate and maintain landscaping tools and equipment.
Perform routine checks and minor repairs to machinery.
Keep the worksite clean, organized, and safe.
- **Client and Team Interaction **Communicate effectively with clients to understand their landscaping goals.
Collaborate with team members to execute projects efficiently.
Provide recommendations for landscape improvements and upgrades.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in landscaping or horticulture is a plus.
- Proven experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or related field.
- Knowledge of plants, irrigation systems, and landscape construction.
- Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Familiarity with landscaping tools and machinery.

**Work Environment**:

- May require flexible working hours, including weekends during peak seasons.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs.
- Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and kneeling.
- Capability to use hand and power tools for extended periods.
