Singapore- Investment Banking- PermanentOur client is a global investment management firm seeking an Investment Strategist to join their Singapore office.
The Investment Strategist will represent all our client’s strategies, including Asset Allocation, Focused Equities, Global Equities, Fixed Income and Emerging Markets to APAC investors. The individual will work closely with research and portfolio managers across the firm and will serve as a source of product and market knowledge.
**Responsibilities include**:
- Act as the lead investment strategist for the APAC region with responsibility for client service and retention, new business development, and external communications
- Build our clients brand across the APAC region by developing Asia
- oriented investor content (white papers, short blurbs, strategic relationship projects) for external consumption that will assist with business development and client efforts)
- Partner with Global Client Relations to understand client needs, advocate for those internally through educating colleagues, and build appropriate solutions for wealth markets across Asia
- Work with the Asset Allocation team to articulate the AA approach, forecasts, investment process and strategies in a compelling manner; also develop knowledge of our clients teams and strategies
- Effectively collaborate across our clients organisation to influence change and deliver APAC revenue growth
**Skills/ qualifications required**:
- An undergraduate degree from a well-regarded academic program is required. An advanced degree or a CFA is a plus
- Strong backgrounds in investing, (research, strategy, product or portfolio management) coupled with strong client service and relationship building abilities.
- An understanding of the APAC market and its workings, and local (China) market regulatory landscape, as well as Mandarin language skills are key.
- Existing network of relationships across the APAC region.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and an ability to educate and convey complex investment strategies to clients
