Singapore HYUNDAI MOTOR GROUP INNOVATION CENTER IN SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. Full time

**Overview**

This position will be responsible for the following:

- Construction management of Hyundai Motor Group's first paint shop in Singapore (HMGICS)
- Preparation for new vehicles production of EV (Electric Vehicle) and PBV (Purposed Built Vehicle)
- Overall operation, management of the paint shop and productivity and quality improvement activities

**Roles & Responsibilities**

**1) Preparation for Construction of New Paint Shop**
- Responding to preparation of necessary licensing for the construction of new paint shop such as production equipments, fire fighting, and dangerous substances
- Preparation of production components, parts, logistics, hiring and training of workers for the operation of the new paint shop
- Installation of new paint shop equipments and preparation for mass production (equipments inspection, construction, commissioning, quality assurance, etc.)
- Review of optimal operation plan of new paint shop

**2) Preparation for New Model Production**
- Review of production methods, equipments, processes and investment costs for the production of new models
- Advanced-stage review and design improvement activities
- Devise and implement activities to improve the paint quality and rate of operation of new models in the early stages of mass production

**3) Equipments Improvement, New Technology Review, Quality Optimization**
- Management of equipment purchase/replacement projects
- Preparation of related documents for completion of tasks (plan, specification, purchase request, completion report, etc.)
- Management of equipment supply and quality

**4) Improvement Activities for Productivity and Rate of Operation**
- Review, analyse, and devise improvement activities for line productivity, rate of operation inhibitors
- Management of production method and establishment of process plan
- Line inspection and equipment management in accordance with paint shop process
- Manage profitability (cost savings) and productivity improvements, energy/expenses and production line workers

**5) Quality Improvement Activities**
- Management and Improvement of external paint quality & index (customer claims, vehicle acceptance rejection, etc.), where necessary
- Analysis of inline quality problems analysis and implement improvement plans where necessary

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Computer, Industrial Engineering, etc.
- Experience in the field of maufacturing engineering of automobile paint shop preferred
- Experience in paint quality management (E-coat, T-coat, Robot, quality parameters etc.) preferred
- Fluent English
