**Description**:
Lead and manage a team of Commodity and Project Procurement Managers, driving the development and implementation of supply chain strategies in the Rest of Asia (ROA) region, with alignment to AP and Global Supply Chain objectives. Support strategic operational initiatives, working closely with the Asia Pacific Plant Operations, Manufacturing Engineering and Global Supplier Quality teams. Optimize supply chain effectiveness through continuous improvement of supplier performance.
AP Machining Commodity Manager: Lead AP machining commodity strategy, with alignment to Global Supply Chain objectives.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies to meet GSC objectives:
- Lead and manage the GSC team in ROA
- Strategic alignment within AP GSC and Global GSC
- Understand and support the needs and objectives of Operations
- Establish commodity strategies to manage growth and risk within the supply chain
- Evaluate, select, qualify and develop new suppliers to meet required performance objectives
- Identify, coordinate, and track implementation of e-sourcing events
- Timely completion of contract negotiations and quantifying benefits
- Drive cost containment and DPO improvement opportunities in ROA
- Oversee and drive improvements to meet supplier performance objectives through lean methodologies: OTD and Lead Time
- Develop supplier plans/goals that drive continuous improvement in manufacturing process, inventory and capacity planning, allowing improvement in cost, delivery and lead time
- Support ROA Plant Operations on strategic initiatives such as New Product Development and Localization
- Support ROA, AP and Global Strategic Sourcing initiatives for key projects, offering optimum cost, lead time and quality to support the needs of the business
- Engagement and cooperation with Final Control team in implementing strategies for key commodities
- Adherence to Emerson values and Supply Chain policies
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of global industry activity through close working relationships with suppliers, trade organization, and market trends.
**Job Requirements**:
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering Mechanical or related discipline, with minimum 10 years relevant supply chain / procurement experience
- Experience in Machining commodity is highly preferred
- Possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of direct material use, cost control and negotiations
- Proactive nature with drive for continuous improvement.
