GrabInsure’s mission is to design and deliver innovative insurance that enables millions of people in Southeast Asia to better protect themselves and their families against life’s uncertainties. We have already launched several “first-of-their-kind” products including micro-health and Usage Based Auto Insurance.
- To take us to the next level, we are looking to expand our operations team, especially looking for a multi-talented team member with a strong background in insurance to help us conceptualize and execute operation processes, and manage the end-to-end placement of commercial insurance policies for Grab. The role will report to the Head of Operations, Insurance in Singapore and will have a regional focus.
**Get to know the Role**
- This role will focus on 2 areas:
Support Grab’s internal business units in the placement, renewal and management of commercial insurance policies.
Build and support our distribution operations across the region.
**The Day-to-Day Activities**
- Work closely with key stakeholders across different business units to identify risks and insurance needs. Manage end-to-end placement and renewal of commercial insurance policies.
- Facilitate underwriting and claims processes between business units and insurance partners.
- Support distribution of insurance products by working closely with insurance partners and stakeholders across different functions in the organization.
- Work with Grab Support Team on new insurance product training, issues resolutions and facilitation of claims for our Driver/Delivery partners, Consumers and Merchants.
- Work with payment, finance and FP&A teams to support the end-to-end financial operations of our insurance business.
- Business process improvement/optimization to increase efficiency and achieve cost savings.
**The Must-Haves**
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in any field (preferably in business, management, or actuarial science).
- At least 6-7 years of experience working in insurance agencies, brokerages, insurers/reinsurers or internal insurance functions with deep understanding of insurance products, regulations and operations.
- Demonstrate a strong track record in project management and managing internal/external stakeholders.
- Ability to engage with senior management; using data to make strategic recommendations.
- Driven, self-motivated and detail-oriented individual who is able to work independently.
**The Nice-to-Haves**
- Hold any of the required qualifications necessary to become an Insurance Agent as defined by the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
