Engineer (Ndt Level 3)

**Responsibilities:
1. Engineering Inspector must be Minimum 10 year experience in NDT field as a certified level-III in at least 4 methods (PT, MT, UT, RT) in PCN, ASNT and PCN Level II in PAUT, TOFD, ECT and RTFI.

2. Must have Experience in LRUT, ACFM, Acoustic Emission, Immersion Ultrasonic Testing, MFL, Tube Testing and Computer and Digital Radiography.

4. Preparation of Advanced NDT procedures such as Phased Array Testing (PAUT), Time of Flight Diffraction (TOFD), LRUT (Long Range UT), Tube Inspection (IRIS, ECT, RFT, NFT, NFA, MFL), ACFM, Immersion Ultrasonic Testing and MFL Floor Mapping.

5. Preparation of Conventional NDT procedures such as Radiography Testing (RT), Ultrasonic testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), Positive Material Identification (PMI) and Hardness Testing (HT), Ferrite Testing, Eddy Current Testing (ECT), Visual Inspection, Remote Visual Inspection (Borescope), Holiday Testing and Leak Testing (Vacuum Box Testing).

6. Preparation of written practices as per ASNT recommended practice SNT-TC-1A and ISO 9712.

7. Review of procedures based on International, National, or in-house Standards & Specifications.

8. Training and certification of personnel as per employer’s written practice.

10. Calibration and maintenance of equipment’s and assist to prepare calibration and reference blocks.

11. Conduct Procedure / Specification Brief training, Process verification audits and cross checks.

12. Attend Client audits, process verification checks, and technical discussions with clients, sub-contractor and auditors.

13. Develop radiography procedure for different technique (DRT/ RT using Ir 92 source and X ray)

14. To do film processing immediately completion of the radiography work on the same day.

15. Perform site radiography in safe manner as per safety requirements.

16. To prepare job pack /test pack for radiography activities.

17. Perform line walk for chosen RT joints for radiography as per client requirements.

18. Develops techniques and perform radiography test for a variety of parts with film RT (X-Ray and Gamma ray) Digital Radiography (DRT), Computed Radiography (CRT), SCAR RT.

19. Perform film interpretations as per procedures/ ASME code which is CR, and DR image flaw detection / interpretation.

20. RT level III certified as NEA L6 compliance, in case of emergency level III has to recover the source as per L6 requirements, it will be helps to avoiding public in radiation source.

21. To ensure that all the radiography exposure devices are duly brought back to the storage room after use & stored safely inside the storage room.

22. Developing RT procedures and technique sheets for specified products and materials after work.

23. Monitoring compliance with this specification for the storage, transport and use of radioactive sources at all worksites through planned inspections and audit programs.

24. Setting up and calibrating NDT equipment.

25. After conducting tests and throughout the manufacturing process, NDT technicians interpret and analyse test results.

26. NDT technicians develop, update, and issue documentation related to the tests they have performed.

27. Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.

28. Actively participate in client programs, planning and strategy sessions.

29. Creates, sets-up, and instructs RT labs including, but not limited to, Dark Room protocols, organization, film processor use/maintenance, film I.D., selection, organization, and cassette loading.

30. Direct, mentor, and train personnel in the method(s) in which certified and capable of Provide direction and guidance with the codes, standards and other contractual documents that control the method as utilized by the company and client.

31. Be capable of developing written work instructions from approved general procedures.

32. Responsible for all paperwork to be turn in a timely manner including safety forms, company required forms, customer forms, and timesheets.

33. Must be able to work off ladders and scaffold at construction sites and projects construction.

34. Must able to work night shift for radiography work due to conflict activities.

35. To make sure that all the materials such as radiation survey meter, radiation warning sign boards etc are available for radiation protection before starting the exposure.

**Physical Activities and Requirements**:

- Able to perform very heavy work in construction sites especially while multimillion projects.
- No fear for heights, have to climb monkey ladder ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized. This factor is important if the amount and kind of climbing required exceeds that required for ordinary locomotion.
- Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position. This factor is important if it occurs
