**Senior Catastrophe Insight Analyst**

Aon Impact Forecasting is a team of scientists, developers and client services colleagues together developing and supporting catastrophe models for various natural and artificial perils including flood, windstorm, earthquake, fire or terrorism, which are used in the re/insurance industry.

The person we are looking for will become a member of Catastrophe Insight - technical professionals who work towards better understanding of historical, ongoing and future natural disasters.

**What the day will look like**
- Working closely with Catastrophe Insight team to monitor global natural disasters and prepare our Catastrophe Reports.
- Providing assistance to colleagues, brokers and clients with tailored disaster-related analyses; conducting research to strengthen Aon’s historical natural disaster loss database.
- Develop and conduct statistical analysis to resolve natural disaster loss trends; aid in the development and deployment of realtime & standard catastrophe model solutions.
- Participate on integration of climate change research into useful solutions for Impact Forecasting & Aon.
- To be able to better understand the role, we are simply looking for a technical person with curiosity about natural disasters, who would like to grow as a professional in the field that applies earth sciences in the re/insurance industry.

**Skills and experience that will lead to success**
- Degree in Meteorology or a related Earth Science field
- Technical writing and editing skills & be able to communicate clearly in a written and verbal manner
- Analytical skills with a background in data analysis & interpretation / delivery of statistical information
- Prior exposure or familiarity with the insurance industry is an advantage
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, ArcGIS/QGIS, Adobe Suite, Tableau, Google Earth etc.
