**JOB SUMMARY**:
Our school ‘The Grange Institution’ is looking to interview applicants for possible teaching positions for lower primary. We are a small, family oriented, nature focused international primary school, based in Yio Chu Kang, Singapore.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
1. Class Management
- Fully responsible to run the homeroom class of lower primary activities to engage students in learning
- Has very good rapport with students, provides pastoral care for students’ overall development including socio-emotional well-being
- Is updated with students’ particular needs including medical and dietary needs
- Maintains conducive classroom learning environment at all timesPrepares all work and planners in a timely fashion

2. Curriculum Development/ Pedagogical Work:

- Responsible for the class students’ continuous development, implementation, and facilitation of concepts and academic achievements in the school curricula —Cambridge Mathematics, English, Science and Additional English Language and Global Perspectives using relevant and appropriate pedagogy for Lower Primary students
- Delivery of inquiry-based learning activities
- Regular use of the Bug Club Reading Tool
- Continuous development, implementation, and facilitation of pedagogical conceptsRecording of anecdotal notes on individual students’ progress, and preparation of student reports

3. Collaborative Team Player
- Collaborative planning with the other class teachers
- Plan and prepare documentation in relation to school curriculum
- Be involved in curriculum reviews, documenting changes and others as required
- Share management and delivery of assemblies and other school activitiesParticipate in appraisal procedures and in-service training that provide personal, professional and career development

4. Collaboration with parents
- Works well with parents and other carers

5. Organisation matters
- Take part in Open House/School tours and explanatory admission talks with interested parents where necessary
- Writing / Organisation of primary school-related articles for newsletters and yearbook
- Planning of purchases of teaching material within budget
- Daily supervision and cleanliness of classroom/control of hygiene standards, measures against Covid19, HFMD, others, including First-Aid responsibilities.Take on other duties as requested by the Principal

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Bachelor’s degree and postgraduate study in education
- Enjoys working with lower primary children (7 to 8-year olds)
- Skilled communicator
- Good interpersonal skills with children and adults
- Knowledge and understanding of recent educational developments
- A personable, outgoing and cheerful leader, capable of cultivating strong relationships to support the development and growth of school
- Ambitious, resilient, hard-working, motivated and a strong positive role model
- Cross-cultural competence
- Ability to be flexible, to assimilate new information quickly in a new environment and able to manage situations with ambiguity
