**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Hummingbird Bioscience is seeking an Intern to support the downstream process development of biotherapeutics. The intern will have an opportunity to learn skills associated with the purification of antibody drugs and understand the workflows associated with drug purification development.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Prepare buffers for various process development steps
- Perform chromatography purification, including affinity and ion-exchange chromatography, using AKTA systems
- Support depth filtration, viral filtration and ultrafiltration/diafiltration activities
- Support stability assessment studies
- Record data accurately and legibly
- On-the-job training will be provided as necessary

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Biology or related fields
- A good understanding of protein chemistry and process development
- Prior lab experience in protein purification is preferred
