Principal Accountabilities
- Develop and maintain procedures related to lifting and hoisting.
- Ensure that all Lifting and Hoisting Equipment on Client comply with the required Client's specification and standards.
- Ensure all personnel involved with Lifting and Hoisting activities on Client are competent, experienced, and approved by the Client's Inspection & Mechanical department
- Monitor and audit all Lifting and Hoisting Equipment on Client's to ensure it has a valid 3rd party inspection or test certificate when required
- Monitor the Contractor to ensure compliance with Client in relation to Lifting and Hoisting activities
- Review and approve all complicated and complex Lifting and Hoisting Plans
- Carry out monitoring of lifting operations on sites to identify any gaps to the site procedure or lifting plans
- Attend Lifting and Hoisting accident and incident investigations as the technical authority
- Technical audit and approval of Lifting & Hoisting Contractors
- Provide detailed buying description of Lifting & Hoisting equipment and accessories. Review technical specification and documentation at different stages of procurement.
- Support Maintenance department with technical inputs related to Lifting and Hoisting
- Support site maintenance and operations with review of alternative options of lifting and hoisting operations in case of damage or unavailability of existing equipment.
- Support Projects department with technical inputs related to Lifting and Hoisting
- Coach and develop trainee Lifting and Hoisting Engineers
- Review, adopt and implement lessons learned from Shell or other industry incidents/lessons learned. Cascade for sharing or action within Shell Bukom.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering or the equivalent.
- Certificate of Appointed Person Lifting Operations
- At least 10 years experience in managing lifting and hoisting activities in project, construction, turnaround in oil and gas industries.
- Skill level on lifting, hoisting, and rigging related industry codes and practices in oil & gas industry.
