Solution Architect

NETS Solutions is NETS’ wholly owned subsidiary. It develops payment infrastructure and transaction processing solutions for central banks, banks and clearing houses in Singapore and the region.

**Overall Function**

The incumbent is expected to be an experienced technical solution architect in the payment solution domain, being able to provide solutioning guidance to the team to meet business requirements, engaging senior stakeholders in all aspects of the program and its inter-related projects.

The incumbent will primarily be responsible to:

- Support the business/ product/ project team to lead in the solution architecture design and implementation of the target business solutions aligned to the group solution architecture blueprint (where applicable)
- Solution architecture support includes (not limited to):

- Lead definition of technical solution requirements mapped to

business requirements
- Lead definition of technical solution components and related specifications mapped to target operating requirements of the client
- Definition of procedures and processes to ensure solution delivery.
- Interaction with the project team* and related stakeholders to socialize and finalize the technical design
- Interaction with the project team* to guide software/technical development of the solution and to support business partners (where needed) until the technical operations support team is self-sufficient
- Interaction with the project team* to guide testing and acceptance of the solution
- Project team comprises the project workgroup (project steering committees, project managers, business & product /operational /technical /security & compliance workgroups)

**Key Responsibilities**
- Multi-hat when needed in the role serving as a technical solution architect and project manager as and when the need arises
- Establish cohesive working relationships with internal & external stakeholders across all domains
- Communicate system requirements to software development teams
- Evaluate and select appropriate software or hardware and suggest integration methods
- Oversee assigned programs (e.g. conduct code review) and provide guidance to team members
- Assist with solving technical problems when they arise
- Ensure the implementation of agreed architecture and infrastructure
- Address technical concerns, ideas and suggestions
- Oversee other aspects of the project such as: Technical Suitability and Maintainability, Schedule, Cost, Requirements, Risks, Quality, Benefits etc
- Manage all aspects of technical risks with proactive implementation of risk mitigation strategiesKeep the leadership team informed with detailed and accurate reports or presentations

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 10 years of experience with specific industry expertise in payments, credit cards, debit cards, and/or digital banking, both operationally and strategically
- Demonstrated experience leading and delivering projects as part of a cross-functional team across large organizations
- Keen industry knowledge of innovation in the payment, card and online spaces.
- Demonstrated experience in technical solutioning across various domains in large organizations
- Strong knowledge and experience in:

- Application development processes, DevOps, Agile methodologies and CI/CD tools/best-practices
- Service Oriented Architecture and integration
- Java/J2EE development, leading development of high-volume enterprise systems
- RESTFul APIs, Spring 5.x, Spring Boot, Cloud-Based technologies and Micro-services
- Web technologies such as HTML5, CSS, Modular design, Angular (5&above) or React and open source JS framework.
- Working within a Linux computing environment, and use of command line tools including knowledge of shell/Python scripting for automating common tasks
- Database systems, SQL, data mapping and data and asset migrations

Enterprise messaging (eg. IBM MQ, Solace, etc)
- Digital Cloud Native Architecture (Serverless, AWS)
- Infrastructure concepts such as load balancing, traffic management, DMZs etc
- Familiarity with JIRA and clear understanding of how Git works.
- Profound understanding of best practices regarding system security measures
- Strong drive towards results with ability to see things through from end-end
- Excellent understanding of project management techniques and methods
- Excellent communication skills
