**Responsibilities**:
The Credit Officer will be responsible to:

- identified the key credit risks for the type of project or structured finance transaction
- considered and assessed the proposed credit risk mitigants
- determined the loans will comply with the Bank’s lending policies
- Undertake consultation and research with origination teams during the credit assessment process
- Engage early with origination teams on direction of potential deals to ensure they follow the Bank’s lending policies and credit appetite
- Undertaking periodic assessments of existing borrowers and support in the preparation of portfolio management reports for the Bank
- Drive appropriate and timely action plans for existing borrowers likely to deteriorate
- Prepare responses to clarifications for relevant regulatory and government authorities, other credit related departments in the Bank and external auditors
- Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

**Key Attributes** **to** **Succeed in this Role**
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with project finance and / or structured finance transactions
- Experience as a sector specialist with a credit rating agency, infrastructure consulting practice, legal practice or infrastructure investor or credit approver with a financial institution
- Tertiary qualification and/or professional designation in a business-related field.
- Ability to undertake research during the review process of a transaction which may also require travel.
- A Team player with an inquisitive nature and attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organising and planning skills
- High level of numeracy and strong financial analysis skills.
- Good communicator, both verbally and in writing at business level.
- Strong influencing skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to simplify and explain complex topics / requests and produce a condensed summary report
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
- Please note that no approval authority will be given initially, but may be considered after a period of performance
