**About the role**
You conduct deep research and provide timely and accurate reports on defence-related developments in identified countries-of-interest in the Asia-Pacific region, as well as assist in developing plans to enhance bilateral military relations.

**What you will be working on**
- Conduct defence-related research and analysis
- Monitor, analyse and identify changes in defence policies and priorities of countries-of-interest and their defence collaborations
- Produce and present findings to military leaders and relevant stakeholders
- Develop plans to enhance bilateral military relations
- Track defence collaborations and security developments
- Deliver high-quality research products

**Challenge(s)**
- Synthesising complex information into clear assessments for non-specialist stakeholders
- Delivering quality analysis within tight deadlines

**What we are looking for**
- Education in International Relations, Political Science, Security Studies, Southeast Asian Studies, History or related field
- Defence/security-related research experience is preferred
- Good command of English language and strong writing skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable to work independently or part of a team of analysts
