Senior Purchaser

As Rapsodo continues to grow and expand our business in Asia and internationally, we are looking for a driven, empathetic and dynamic experienced Purchaser who is able to process purchasing requisitions from the managers in the field and turn those requisitions into purchase orders. The incumbent will be responsible for creating purchase order tracking systems, alerting management when orders have been filled and invoices from vendors have been issued, answering vendor questions and providing them with additional documentation as needed.

**Responsibilities**:

- Purchase goods, materials, components or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets
- Support the purchasing function and other relevant departments and communicate any supply problems which may impact on business operations
- Act as an interface between suppliers and other relevant departments on purchasing processes and new projects and activities
- Monitor and advise on any issues which present risk or opportunity to the organisation
- Monitor market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers
- Provide analysis on costs, new and existing and review cost reduction activities
- Prepare reports and updates as and when required
- Work closely with others in the procurement function and review opportunities for continuous improvement and business improvements
- Negotiate contracts, improve prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings utilising negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods
- Prepare and raise purchase orders and order schedules
- Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and keep up good communications
- Ensure that a professional and consistent approach is taken in relation to all supplier relationships
- Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures
- Conduct research for new components and suppliers
- Compile data relating to supplier performance to enable evaluation
- Assess and evaluate suppliers and contribute to performance reviews to ensure contract compliance
- Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery or invoice issues

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 3-5 years of working experience preferably within a manufacturing environment. Those with more years of experience will be considered for Senior Purchaser.
- Able to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong communication, negotiation, interpersonal and influencing skills
- Able to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good team player and with a good and positive attitude towards work
- Good knowledge of purchasing, negotiation, commercial understanding and cost breakdown
- Able to add value, reduce costs and inputs to business improvements
- Demonstrate keenness to learn
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP would be advantageous
- Excellent computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Work, Powerpoint)

**Salary**: $4,000.00 - $4,800.00 per month
