**About the Merchant Portal**

Work closely with a small, agile group to create features that automate tasks and empower merchants with seamless self-onboarding and content management. **Responsibilities**:

- Lead the implementation of captivating and seamless user interface features for the platform as a front-end engineer within the team.
- Maintain high standards for code quality, reliability, and scalability
- Architect and develop responsive, high-performance front-end interfaces with a focus on excellence in software design. Collaborate closely with the design team to create elegant and user-friendly user interfaces, ensuring seamless integration with underlying systems.
- Advocate for writing comprehensive unit tests to improve code reliability and maintainability, fostering a testing culture within the development process
- Own problems from end to end, managing complexity and engaging directly with other teams such as Project, Partnerships, Account Managers, etc to think through everything from business impact
- Serve as a role model for high engineering standards and bring consistency to the codebases and Ops processes you will encounter

**Job requirements**:
**What we're looking for**:

- Demonstrated expertise in frontend development, with a specialisation in **React and Typescript**, is highly desirable.
- Previous experience with **Vite, Tailwind, React-Query and Zustand **is a bonus but not required.
- Participation in technical roadmaps and Request for Comments (RFCs) to communicate technical strategy and address architectural challenges.
- Excellent collaboration skills, comfortable working in cross-functional teams, and adept at interacting not only with engineering but also with product, design, and business teams.
- Passionate about mentoring and leading engineers, providing guidance and coaching for high performance.
- Preference for simple solutions and designs over complex ones, demonstrating a keen intuition for solutions that are both enduring and scalable.
