As project lead, you will play a critical role in overseeing and managing the development and implementation of a strategic regional initiative aimed at skilling vulnerable communities with technological knowledge and skills through a train-the-trainer approach. Your responsibilities will include project planning, stakeholder management, curriculum development, resource allocation, and monitoring project progress to ensure successful outcomes.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement project plans outlining goals, objectives, key activities and deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements
- Collaborate with strategic partners and local training providers to achieve project objectives
- Develop training materials, including presentations, handouts, exercises, and assessments, ensuring that content is engaging, relevant, and tailored to the needs of diverse learners
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations in specific country contexts, policies, and guidelines governing training and education initiatives
- Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness and impact of skilling initiatives
- Monitor project progress against established targets and timelines, identifying deviations and implementing corrective actions as necessary
- Prepare regular progress reports, budget forecasts and utilisation statements, and other documentation for internal and external stakeholders
- Coordinate with AVPN’s internal stakeholder teams to ensure adequate attention to project deliverables
- Represent AVPN’s interest to external funder groups, as required
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including educators, employers, government agencies, and funding partners
- Communicate project updates, milestones, and outcomes to stakeholders through regular meetings, reports, and presentations

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as computer science, education, social sciences business administration, economics, or a related discipline. Masters’ degree will be preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders across different countries.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver training programs, workshops, or educational materials.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
- Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS), online course platforms, and other educational technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and drive continuous improvement.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
