Senior Counsellor

**Join our CarePrison family** to inspire hope and empower clients to make lasting, positive changes through reintegration and rehabilitation services, to support inmates in their journey to reintegrate into society and break out of destructive behaviour patterns, and provide support to families of the incarcerated to develop resilience and overcome their challenges in the absence of a loved one. This position is responsible for conducting groupwork for younger and/or elderly offenders, and providing case management/counselling services for elderly offenders assigned by Singapore Prison Service, to achieve successful reintegration.

**Join our CarePrison family to be Case Worker/Counsellor, if**:

- You are able to manage casework and counselling to families, groups and individuals from diverse backgrounds and issues
- You are able to lead therapeutic group work for varied targeted groups, conduct workshops and trainings on issues related to individuals and the workplace, and support the department in counselling outreach to corporate organisations.
- You have a minimum qualification of Masters in Counselling / Counselling Psychology accredited by SAC or SPS, with at least 7 years of experience inclusive of 5 years of counselling youth and young adults.
- You are people-oriented and approachable, and able to converse in at least one other local language or dialect other than English (i.e. Malay, Tamil, Mandarin, Hokkien)
- You have an interest/ passion to work with multiple profile groups from diverse backgrounds
- You are self-motivated and take initiative to drive improvements and developments within the department
- You are able to work independently and as a team player who can work cohesively with colleagues.
