Our **Asia Pacific Human Resources** Unit is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified HR professional to be based in **Singapore**, supporting its Asia Offices.

**Your Role**:
You are a member of the Asia Pacific Human Resources Team providing comprehensive, responsive and effective Human Resource service across Gen Re’s Asia operations. HR professionals in Gen Re serve as key members of the local management team and regularly advise senior management on employment matters, training and development, talent management and compensation practices. Together with the business you will be responsible for ensuring that there is the necessary talent to appropriately execute the business strategy and to develop and implement programs and practices to attract, retain and motivate our associates in furtherance of that strategy. This role is ideal for an HR generalist with strong HRBP experience and who enjoys being involved in all aspects of HR.

**Your key responsibilities**:

- Provide support, advice and guidance on matters of employment legislation, internal policies and procedures and HR best practices
- Ensure that HR policy and procedures remain current, fit for purpose and in compliance with legal/statutory obligations
- Contribute to fostering a positive working environment
- Support resource planning through managing recruitment and selection including preparation of job descriptions and job advertisement, conducting interviews and managing onboarding and offboarding processes
- Lead and coordinate employee relations matters (capability, disciplinary, grievance, redundancies etc) for assigned countries
- Compensation and Benefits - Lead the salary benchmarking process; Support the design of Asia Benefits Programs through periodic review of employee needs and market research findings to ensure market competitiveness and employee value
- Support change management process and participate in the implementation of specific projects, procedures and guidelines to help align staff with the strategic goals of the organization
- Identify, lead and manage continuous improvement projects from conception to implementation
- Participate in regional and global initiatives and projects
- Other job-related duties may be assigned as required

**Your Profile**:

- Experience in an HR Generalist role with strong consulting skills is essential
- Experience of working in the Financial Services sector and/or with regional experience is desirable
- Sound knowledge of current employment laws and regulations (at least for some Asia countries in which we operate) and best practice in HR management
- High proficiency in both spoken and written English including the ability to synthesize complex topics to highlight key details and support consistent understanding
- Able to read and speak fluent Mandarin as China is one of the key countries supported by the team
- Comfortable in exercising a high degree of initiative, self-motivation and organisation, and professional judgement
- Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to build solid relationships at all levels and influence collaborative outcomes
- Friendly and approachable with a client-oriented mindset
- Flexible and adaptable with willingness to proactively embrace change
- High degree of professionalism and personal integrity
- High level of competency in MS Office
