**About the role**:
Singapore Approval Centre is responsible for classification services for mobile offshore units, offshore support vessels, and related equipment certification within Asia and beyond. The section, which consists of a team of structural and system engineers, now seeks a Senior Marine, Process and Safety System Approval Engineer to meet new project needs in serving the evolving offshore energy industry.

**Responsibilities**:

- Design review of engineering documents related to marine, process systems, and fire safety disciplines of mobile offshore units (ship-shaped, semi-sub, self-elevating type) and offshore support vessels, to verify compliance with applicable rules, standards and other contractual requirements
- Project management
- Technical support to surveyors and business development team

**About you**:

- Engineering degree
- Mobile offshore unit design/design approval experience with a reputed designer/shipyard/classification society
- 1 to 20 years of working experienceGood knowledge of fire safety systems.
- Good knowledge of DNV or other class society offshore rules
- Good knowledge of IMO protocols i.e. SOLAS, MODU, MARPOL, etc
- Knowledge about shelf state regulations
- Project management skills
- Able to carry out technical discussions or presentations with our esteemed clients towards improvement in design
- Be service minded
- Able to work independently and collaborate well with a highly competent and experienced team
- Excellent communication skills and a ‘can do’ attitude.
