Qc Technician

**How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?**:
Air Liquide Advanced Materials is actively seeking a Quality Control Technician to be located at our Singapore manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Control Technician will represent Quality on the manufacturing teams by supporting analysis, managing the analyzers, and supporting investigations. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize diversified workload and recommend changes to continuously improve practices and procedures.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work in a highly structured environment with regard to safe and consistent conformance to operating procedures and work practices.
- Have a general knowledge of the basic principles of chemistry and basic techniques used in analytical laboratories.
- Drive a culture of “Do It Safe, Do It Right the First Time”
- Effectively prioritize daily tasks and coordinate with the production team.
- Ensure timely throughput of product through analysis queue.
- Analyze various raw / in-process materials and finished goods using multiple analytical techniques (GC, FTIR, process analyzers, moisture analyzers, etc.).
- Provide guidance to disposition lots.
- Identify problems with analytical instrumentation and assist in subsequent repair(s).
- Accurately input and document analytical data into all necessary analytical databases.
- Conforms to ISO directives included but not limited to policy and procedures. Strictly adheres to all necessary calibration requirements within all lab operations.
- Through observation of work area(s), is alert to and avoids unsafe behaviors and conditions or other hazards. Reports any observed hazards to the supervisor. Adheres to all safety policies.
- Ensure compliance with the formalized written PPE program for all laboratory activities.
- Participate in ongoing continuous improvement initiatives of analytical process systems.
- Support investigation of production defects and assist the Quality Team in control of Non-conforming material.
- Maintain analytical equipment including preventive maintenance as directed by the supervisor.
- Work effectively and cooperatively with production staff.
- Successfully complete all assigned trainings.

Required Qualifications:

- Nitec in Chemical Process Technology or equivalent
- 1+ years of analytical experience (GC and FTIR)
- 2+ years of experience in a process operations environment
- Detail-oriented and ability to review and check data
- Software and hardware management (Microsoft, Google, LIMS, SAP)
- Computer proficiency - excellent Microsoft Excel or equivalent skills, database experience
- Ability to learn new software systems and effectively use them
- Knowledge of quality systems
- Ability to troubleshootAbility to work on rotating shifts
- Preferred Qualifications:

- 2-3 years of analysis experience
- Experience in specialty or electronic chemical manufacturing
- Experience in analysis operations within a production plant environment in a quality assurance/control function
- Experience with formalized analytical validation programs is desired, as is the knowledge of hazardous materials
- Hands on analytical equipment maintenance, method repair and development, and sampling system troubleshooting experience
- In lieu of direct analytical experience, experience in specialty or electronic gas production operations qualified at a minimum of Process Technician I
