Job Specifications:
1. Possesses a minimum diploma qualification or equivalent;
2. Has a minimum of 1 year of experience in the social service setting and preferably in planning, coordinating and managing volunteers and programmes;
3. Able to support teams and projects;
4. Exhibits maturity, sincerity, and passion to work with individuals and families who are facing challenges;
5. A good team player with a positive attitude as well as a caring and compassionate individual;
6. Possesses a strong sense of integrity in working in the best interests of the agency and its clients; and
7. Possesses good interpersonal, writing and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
(a) Support in the Coordination of Community Partnership Efforts and Initiatives for the Volunteer Centre (VC) Programme
1. Support in planning, implementing and evaluating networking and outreach activities to community partners and stakeholders to promote volunteerism, VC and its activities.
2. Support in developing strategy and operationalize plans to market the VC programme and volunteering opportunities to community and corporate partners.
3. Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders such as schools, corporates, grassroots and social service organizations for outreach and volunteering opportunities.
4. Support in preparing and monitoring overall budget for the VC programme.
5. Liaison for all matters pertaining volunteers and partners working with volunteers.
6. Manage requests for collaborations and partnerships.
7. Update and maintain content of programme’s module in the corporate website and social media platforms.
(b) Support in the Oversight of VC’s Volunteer Management System
1. Support in planning, developing, implementing and evaluating volunteer management system including the policies, processes and whole suite of activities from recruiting, selecting, training/onboarding, matching, deploying, tracking/monitoring, developing, rewarding to retaining volunteers under the VC programme.
2. Provide follow-up on volunteer enquiries.
3. Manage and maintain the volunteer database as part of the volunteer management system as well as other administrative documentation.
(c) Support in the Oversight of VC’s Activities that Promote Volunteerism
1. Support in developing, and implementing activities that promote volunteerism in the community and to ensure effectiveness of the activities, and implement changes as appropriate.
2. Support in preparing and monitoring individual activity budget.
3. Evaluate effectiveness of activities.
4. Support in planning, sourcing and providing logístical and manpower support for VC’s activities.
5. Maintain and update listing of community resources.
6. Assist and support the Community Partnership Executive (Volunteer Centre) and Executive Director in planning, developing and enhancing the VC’s roles and functions.
(d) Coordination of Activities and Initiatives of Staff Working Committee(s)
1. Support, plan, develop, implement and evaluate activities and initiatives under the assigned staff committee(s).
(e) Others
1. Undertake any other responsibilities and duties as assigned by the supervisor, and Executive Director.
