Research Analyst - Sustainability/ESG

Role Purpose
The role will suit a person who either has some experience of real estate, property research combined with an interest in ESG and a desire to specialise, or has already worked in the ESG/sustainability field and is looking to move into real estate research. This role will report to the Head of ESG Research for APAC and could be based in Singapore, Hong Kong or India.

What this job involves
Help in executing sustainability/ESG-specific research projects to create thought leadership and insights across APAC and working with the wider research team - both globally and regionally

Helping to ensure sustainability & ESG issues are embedded in more general research outputs where appropriate

Working closely with regional marketing and PR to own the end to end development of research papers and marketing collaterals for internal and external consumption.

Supporting and participating in client presentations and pitching

Keep up to date with developments in the sustainability & ESG sphere, for example government policy and occupier and investor actions and intentions

Improving knowledge and awareness of sustainability & ESG issues in research and the wider business, including through formal training and dissemination of research findings

Identify and suggest topics for future research on sustainability

Working with technology, data and GIS teams to produce tools and visualisations focussed around sustainability and ESG data

Contributing to client fee-paying projects where appropriate

Contributing blogs, content and social media on these themes were appropriate

Existing professional experience in real estate, property research or ESG /Sustainability sector

A keen interest in ESG/sustainability issues in the real estate sector and in the economy more generally

An ability to work effectively on your own with guidance

Strong written and oral communication skills and an ability to work in a matrix organisation

Ability to network effectively with a wide range of stakeholders within JLL, including board level directors

Excellent attention to detail

Confident presenter and public speaker

Good skills with Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and Word and a willingness to learn other software programmes if necessary - for example basic GIS

Interest and experience in using data visualisation packages such as Power BI or Tableau is desirable

Good time management skills - to juggle the range of tasks involved and to meet deadlines

A ‘can do’ attitude and willingness to think laterally about how we can deliver ESG/sustainability solutions to clients and enhance our expertise and reputation in thi
