**About the Team**:
The music business development team drives negotiations and fosters relationships with record labels and music publishers. We are tasked with creating and implementing the ByteDance music strategy. The team helps drive growth and awareness of Bytedance and the music and artists that thrive therein.
We are looking for a Manager, Music Product Development that can help drive new music related products and platforms from ideation to launch. This role will coordinate and drive internal communication between the Global Music BD Team, Regional Music BD Team, and product among many other teams. This role will advise the Music Business Development Teams on how best to communicate with rightsholders regarding new music related features in an efficient, succinct, and professional manner. This hybrid role will play a unique part in our overall Bytedance music business development strategy.

**Responsibilities**:

- Partner with global counterparts across music product, engineering, and music business development to drive music product development across all ByteDance platforms.
- Manage and drive consistent cooperation of the music product development team among our Regional Music BD Counterparts located in markets such as SEA, Korea, Japan, and LATAM.
- Partner with senior leadership and strategy teams to advise on short and long term music strategy across Bytedance Products.
- Communicate and summarize complex concepts and project updates to large cross-functional groups and senior leadership.
- Advise internally on how best to drive and execute discussions with rightsholders regarding the launch of new platforms, features, and products.
- Develop a strong understanding of the technical requirements and obligations in our music licensing agreements.
- Ensure product and engineering teams have a clear understanding of music licensing requirements and obligations.
- Work with product, engineering, and music operations to establish product road maps and communicate timelines and deliverables to internal stakeholders as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- BA or BS degree, 3+ years of relevant experience working on very technical projects with product and engineering teams.
- Extensive project management expertise and experience managing complex road maps.
- Music Licensing and/or Music digital business development experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Mandarin is a plus, but not required.
- Pro-active team player
