Cash Operations Consultant

Role Function and Purpose

To support the front office or the banknotes dealers in the areas of wholesale cash and vault operations.
- To ensure timely and accurate distribution of value to and from our customer base while adhering to internal and external compliance and regulatory requirements.
- To maintain proper accountability on all cash operation processes
- To ensure proper accountability of all transactions as well as cash movements including shipments in and out of Singapore.
- Ensure proper reconciliation of physical stock balance
- Work with internal and external parties to address corrections where required and reconcile discrepancies
- Deliver excellent customer service to customers

Key

**Responsibilities**:
A) Cash Operations
- Handles receipt, processing, packing and releasing of all cash.
- Fulfilling customer orders both locally and overseas through accurate picking, packing and despatching of foreign & local currency
- Ensure all MSBs transactions are executed in a timely manner and accurately.
- Processing of all cash purchases from customers and detect counterfeit banknotes and manage discrepancy detected.
- Ensure all purchases and excess stock are cleared on a timely manner and stock holding limits are closely monitored.

Shipment Movements
- Ensure all local cash movement are well co-ordinated and meeting the expectation of our clients.
- Wherever applicable to assist in arranging clearance of inbound shipment by authorised security vendor(s).
- To assist in the arranging and securing cargo space for all outgoing shipments through authorised security vendor(s).
- To ensure shipment are properly picked and packed and securely sealed before releasing to the security vendor(s).
- To verify authorised security crew members prior to handing over / taking over a banknote shipment.

Stock Inventory & Requirements
- Ensure proper accountability and storage of all stock inventory at designated secured vault compartment.
- Assist in ensuring stock holding is kept within the approved authorised limit.

Accuracy/ Daily Balance and Reconciliation
- At end of each business day all cash stock holdings are checked and reconciled against physical records printed from BLISS system.
- Recording and reporting of all discrepancies to Senior CEC and assisting in resolution of discrepancies.

Archiving
- Archive all electronic and physical records as per AML and business requirements.

Investigations
- Assists in investigating problems and retrieving paperwork as required by internal and external customers.

Security
- Adhere to all security procedures and Vault SOPs

Process improvement & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with AML requirements and Travelex’s Policies and Procedures
- Identify where there are problems being incurred as a result of current processes and bring to the attention of management
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and bring to the attention of management
- Take ownership for the resolution of problems as reported

Communication & Reporting
- Ensure all daily reports are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure all deal tickets are accounted for and properly filed.
