DESIGNATION : ELECTRICAL SUPERINTENDENT

RESPONSIBILITIES
Are you a seasoned Electrical Officer or Electro Technical Officer with a passion for innovation and excellence? BW Epic Kosan is looking for an experienced and dedicated Electrical Superintendent to join our dynamic Technical Department to attend Shipyard and onboard repairs and projects. If you have a strong background in electrical and electronic engineering within the maritime industry, we want to hear from you

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee all electrical and electronic aspects of drydocking, major repairs, and new equipment installations.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the performance and condition of LPG vessel electrical and electronic equipment.

**Layup Repair Projects**:

- Project and manage repair budgets. Collaborate with Ship Managers to plan, execute, and monitor repair projects for cost-effectiveness and mínimal downtime.
- Conduct onboard inspections and draw up repair specifications, ensuring compliance with statutory and client requirements.
- Supervise and support maintenance and installation of electrical and electronic automation systems.
- Provide technical reports and summaries on repair projects.

**Ships Under Operation**:

- Visit and assist vessels needing electrical support and repairs.
- Assess and provide onboard training for electrical officers and marine engineers.

**Processes and System Efficiency**:

- Standardize repair specifications, quotes comparison, work progress tracking, and invoicing. Analyze completed projects for continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement processes and procedures for technical and safety aspects of electrical and electronic equipment.

**Recruitment and Training**:

- Develop training modules for engineers on electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Participate in crew seminars to enhance performance.
- Conduct interviews for Electro Technical Officer (ETO) and Assistant ETO positions.
- Review recruitment and training programs for ETO trainees.

**Work from Home Period**:

- Analyze onboard repair projects, electrical maintenance jobs, incidents, and issues to identify root causes and develop long-term asset management strategies.
- Support operational vessel with electrical / electronic defect remote troubleshooting.

**Place of Work**
- Sailing onboard vessels to carry out Onboard Support, Maintenance, Projects, Shipyards for repair projects and Work from Home.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma/Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- Minimum 60 months of experience as an Electrical Officer/Electro Technical Officer.
- Strong knowledge of shipboard electrical and electronic equipment.
- Ability to travel at short notice and manage a 24/7 on-call lifestyle.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Independent, outcome-driven, and resourceful with a strong team orientation.
- Empathy and ability to work effectively with all nationalities.
