Dyeing Specialist

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Dyeing Process Management**:Lead the entire dyeing process for all têxtile materials, ensuring consistency, precision, and high-quality results.
- **Color Matching & Quality Control**:Work closely with design teams to ensure accurate color matching for samples and bulk orders. Perform regular quality checks and tests to maintain dye consistency across all production stages.
- **Research & Development**:Innovate and experiment with new dyeing techniques, formulations, and color trends. Recommend improvements to existing processes to enhance quality, sustainability, and efficiency.
- **Team Supervision & Training**:Manage and train dyeing staff to ensure best practices in dyeing procedures, safety, and environmental regulations are adhered to.
- **Process Optimization**:Analyze and optimize the dyeing processes for better time, resource, and cost efficiency. Minimize dye wastage and environmental impact.
- **Equipment & Machinery Management**:Ensure all dyeing machines and equipment are in proper working order and maintain a regular maintenance schedule to avoid production delays.
- **Supply Chain Coordination**:Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of required dyes, chemicals, and fabrics. Ensure all material requirements meet quality standards. Timely supply to downstream departments and clients with quality dyeing products meeting deadlines and expectations.
- **Compliance & Sustainability**:Ensure that all dyeing processes comply with local and international environmental, health, and safety regulations. Promote sustainable practices in line with industry standards and company values.
- **Reporting & Documentation**:Maintain accurate records of dyeing processes, inventory usage, and production reports. Report key metrics such as dye consumption, efficiency rates, and color quality to senior management.

**Qualifications & Requirements**:

- **Experience**:Minimum 5 years of experience in dyeing, preferably with experience in wool dyeing
- **Technical Expertise**:Strong knowledge of têxtile dyeing techniques, color separation and matching, color fastness, and finishing methods. Familiarity with various dyeing systems (e.g., acid dyes, reactive, disperse, vat, etc..).
- **Education**:Textile Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Certifications in dyeing technology or color science would be an advantage.
- **Skills**:

- Deep understanding of color separation, chemistry and dye formulation.
- Proficiency in dyeing machinery and equipment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems quickly in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- **Language**:Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia and English is preferred.
- **Location**:Must be based in or willing to relocate to Batam, Indonesia.
