Singapore SOCIETE GENERALE Full time

Responsibilities:

- Manage trading book under given risk limits
- Provide competitive prices and manage order book for both external/internal clients for below products
- EM FX spot / Asia NDF
- Offshore RMB (CNH) and offshore INR FX products
- Develop electronic market making capabilities for FX spot/swap, cooperating with EFX team
- Assist and cooperate with other traders and sales people
- Know and respect the SRAB/Volcker laws requirements, in the performance of certain duties as listed in handbooks
- Operate in conformance with the mandate and in compliance with the Societe Generale procedures established for the enforcement of the French Banking Law compliance and Volker Rule
- Manage positions under sound and effective risk management including for achieving individual business objectives
- Adhere to Societe Generale policies, procedures and Code of Conduct; understand and act in compliance with all laws and regulations, including, but not limited to anti-money laundering and OFAC regulations, relevant to area of responsibility and business
- Act with responsibility, accountability and autonomy by utilizing sound judgment to make risk-mitigating decisions while remaining aware of the impact and consequences of such decisions to Societe Generale and our clients
- Escalate any material risk, compliance or control-related issues that comes to your attention
- Seek opportunities to improve the risk, compliance and control environment at SG and with our clients

Please note that this position is under MiFiD regulations and requires MiFiD (AMF/MIF II) certification.

Profile Requirements:
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND AND CERTIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field
- 5 - 7 years’ relevant working experience in trading
- In depth knowledge and expertise in EM/G10 FX trading and market making, INR/CNH specific
- Consistent record of profitability
- Ability to build a market profile and revenue base through trading in various currencies
- Ability to demonstrate support and a close working relationship with sales desk for mutual benefit
- Analytical skills to appropriately manage trading book’s risks efficiently to optimize revenue
- Good price maker and strong risk manager
- Independent and able to be autonomous in daily business duties
- Ability to build and deepen relationships with both existing and potential SG clients required
- Good network with both onshore and offshore market participants
- Good network with key clients

OPERATIONAL SKILLS
- Good IT-orientation preferred
