**What the role is**
- You will provide organisational, administrative, and operational support to the Prosecution Department (‘PD’) and liaise with the enforcement departments (‘ED’) within NEA to ensure that the daily operations of PD are carried out optimally, in accordance with work processes and standard operating procedures. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the prosecution module in our IT system is functioning efficiently, to facilitate the effective prosecution of cases. Your core duties includes: - Lead the Night Court Team in preparing information required by NEA Prosecuting Counsels for court hearings in accordance with the PD’s standard operating procedures;
- Provide operational support at Night Court hearings to the NEA Prosecuting Counsels;
- Serve as a Prosecuting Officer on behalf of NEA in the prosecution of cases (other than trials);
- Liaise with ED on matters that affect prosecutions including system-related issues;
- Attend to requests/enquiries from external agencies and members of public on prosecution-related matters;
- Take charge of the prosecution module in our IT system, ensuring that it functions efficiently and recommend tweaks to meet operational challenges;
- Liaise with ED on matters that affect prosecutions including system-related issues;
- Assist in the preparation of statistics / reports, verification of bills, preparation of budget, provide support to Internal Audit Division, co-ordinate the appointments/re-appointments of Commissioners for Oaths for our NEA officers. - Maintain and archive prosecution information relevant to PD.

- Minimum Diploma in Legal Studies or related fields;
- Preferably 8 years of relevant working experience;
- Competent working with IT systems;
- Prepared to perform the role of a Prosecuting Officer;
- Willing to learn with an eye for detail;
- Mature with strong interpersonal & communication skills;
- Strong analytical & problem solving skills;
- Able to work independently and under pressure;
